Book Tag: Last 10 Books and The Vincent Ehindero Blogger Award

Hey everyone! Hope you’re keeping well and enjoying your day ๐Ÿ™‚

Back with another book tag, thank you SO much to Maria at The Character Study for tagging me! I love these book tags and getting to know bloggers more ๐Ÿ™‚

The Last 10 Books Tag

Last Book I Bought:

The last book that I bought that has recently arrived was Threadneedle by Cari Thomas! It’s the Waterstones signed exclusive and it’s gorgeous! I’m so excited to dive into this soon!

Last Book I Re-Read:

A Touch of Darkness and A Touch of Ruin by Scarlett St. Clair, these Hades x Persephone retellings are one of my absolute favourites and I adore them. I’m also getting ready for the release of A Touch of Malice which is OUT TOMORROW! Ahhh!

Last Book I Gave Up On:

The Witch’s Heart by Genevieve Gornichec. I tried, I really did but it just didn’t hook me in and I didn’t care about the characters unfortunately!

Last Book I Said I Read But Didn’t:

Probably something for my Masters degree oops. I think probably Augustine’s Confessions, I just didn’t care at all.

Last Book I Wrote In The Margins Of:

I think it was probably Mr Jekyll and Dr Hyde for my degree.

Last Book That I Had Signed:

Does it count if I pre-ordered a signed book? In that case Threadneedle by Cari Thomas!

Last Book I Lost:

Hmmm I think it was a beautiful ARC of The Diviners by Libba Bray I had, I’ve moved all over with uni and student houses etc and I think I must have left it behind somehow. I’M SORRY!

Last Book I Had To Replace:

This was years ago but I gave my copy of Delirium by Lauren Oliver to a friend and I never got it back!

Last Book I Argued Over:

Hmmmm, I don’t remember ever properly arguing over a book. I’ve had discussions about books obviously with studying English Literature but not actual arguments.

Last Book You Couldn’t Find:

I have the worst bookshelves, I wish they were pretty and organised but they’re not that big so I have to double stack them so some are behind and others are in front. This often means I’m rummaging around for books I think I’ve lost haha!

Maria’s questions

  2. What book has had a great impact on you as a person?
  3. Who is your favourite singer/band?
  4. Is there a book you love but rarely talk about?
  5. What is your favourite holiday?

What language would you like to be fluent in?

I would honestly choose all of them haha! I’m so jealous of polyglots who can speak several languages. I’m improving my French and Swedish at the moment though!

What book has had a great impact on you as a person?

This is a tough question Maria haha! Hmmm.. Probably Mortality by Christopher Hitchens, it’s so powerful.

Who is your favourite singer/band?

Hmm, my music tastes are so eclectic haha. I love most genres of music! But I’ve been listening to Olivia Rodrigo’s new album lately and I loveeee Billie Eilish, I would listen to her sing the newspaper!

Is there a book you love but rarely talk about?

I don’t think so? I’m pretty open with talking about books that I adore. I’d shout into the void to try and get other people to read it too haha!

What is your favourite holiday?

I’m going to cheat and just say the month of December as it has all the best holidays haha! My birthday (although I dread this as I get older now lol), Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, NYE! I just love how festive it is!

Thank you SO much to Maria for the tag, I loved doing this and reading yours too! Go and check out her blog!

My questions are:

1. If you could be any character, who would you be?
2. Do you prefer reading physical books, ebooks, or audiobooks?
3. If you were a superhero, what would your powers be?
4. What are you favourite book tropes?
5. Which fantasy world would you want to live in?

I tag:

Ariel @ Gemini Book Nook

Chelsea @ Your Bookish Friend

Madeline @ The Bookish Mutant

Jolie @ Read With Me

No pressure if you don’t want to complete the tag, but it would be nice to know more about you all! ๐Ÿ™‚ You don’t have to complete both tags either ๐Ÿ™‚
